High School Internship
About the Opportunity

SustainEd Farms is looking for committed, responsible, and passionate young leaders for our High School Internship program this Summer 2026. SustainEd Farms is a nonprofit organization with the mission of Growing Food. Growing Knowledge. Growing Justice.
​
This year, we are accepting students from the following high schools: Bruce Randolph, George Washington, Manual, West, North, Florence Crittenton, and Summit at Castro.

Interns will help to care for and maintain their school garden from June 8th to August 10th, for approximately 10 hours per week. Tasks may include:

Watering gardens

Watering and caring for trees
-
Weeding garden
-
Harvesting and packaging food
-
Attending occasional sessions with other interns to learn about green career pathways
​
Student home location will be considered when placing at schools to minimize required travel. Students will receive a stipend of $2,000 over the duration of the internship.

Interviews will happen during the last two weeks of April. Our team will reach out to you to coordinate the best time and place for an interview.

Este año, aceptamos estudiantes de las siguientes preparatorias: Bruce Randolph, George Washington, Manual, West, North, Florence Crittenton, y Summit at Castro.

Los pasantes ayudarán a cuidar y mantener el jardin escolar del 9 de julio a 15 de agosto, durante aproximadamente 10 horas semanales. Las tareas pueden incluir:

Desherbar el jardin

Cosechar y empacar alimentos

Asistir a sesiones ocasionales con otros pasantes para aprender sobre carreras ecológicas.
Se considerará la ubicación del hogar del estudiante al momento de la colocación en las escuelas para minimizar los viajes requeridos. Los estudiantes recibirán un estipendio de $2000 durante toda la pasantía.

Las entrevistas se realizarán los finales de abril. Nuestro equipo se pondrá en contacto contigo para coordinar la mejor fecha y lugar para la entrevista.
